What We Do

We help our public entity clients solve some of their most challenging contamination problems. Our experience includes helping clients address contamination from methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP), dibromochloropropane (DBCP), perchloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), perchlorate, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and para-chlorobenzenesulfonic acid (pCBSA).

We provide our services on a contingency fee basis, which means that a fee is due to us only when the case achieves a favorable result. In other words, the fee is contingent on success. Usually, the fee is expressed as a percentage of the recovery. This arrangement allows our clients to retain us without any upfront or ongoing fees or litigation costs. Contingency fee arrangements also enable clients with limited financial resources to access our legal services and protect our clients from the financial risks that might discourage them from holding polluters accountable.

We are delighted to have achieved this settlement, which will help the city replace its water supply with a system that is safe and reliable. We have accomplished our goal of holding Velsicol accountable in court, and are pleased to end the lawsuit on these terms.
