The costs to respond to water contamination may get passed to ratepayers and taxpayers. Instead, the legal process can be used to compel corporations that had profited from products that caused the contamination to pay to clean up their own mess.
On June 11th, 2020 at 10am PST, Ken Sansone will discuss the evaluation criteria for legal action, the mechanics of a groundwater contamination lawsuit and how water utilities are putting law into practice. Ken is joined by Sunil Pillai, VP of Environmental Quality at Golden State Water Company.
This webinar is sponsored by SL Environmental Law Group and AWWA, a leading international non-profit, scientific and educational association founded in 1881 to improve water quality and supply.
