SL Environmental Law Group to Speak at GWPC Annual Forum

The Ground Water Protection Council (GWPC) Annual Forum brings together thought leaders from around North America to learn about water policy, monitoring, current legislative objectives and emerging contaminants. GWPC is a nonprofit organization whose members consist of state ground water regulatory agencies which come together within the GWPC organization to mutually work toward the protection of the nation’s ground water supplies. The purpose of the GWPC is to promote and ensure the use of best management practices and fair but effective laws regarding comprehensive ground water protection.

Bill Kelly, Director of Client Engagement, will speak on “Shifting Treatment Costs From Ratepayers to Polluters-The California 1,2,3 Trichloropropane Story (TCP)”  The talk will provide insight into  the unintended contamination of California aquifers, the new state regulations and the method to recover treatment costs from the polluters from agricultural pesticides.
